Lafayette, Ind. – Homestead Resources is proud to announce that Executive Director Marie Morse has been recognized by United Way of Greater Lafayette with the prestigious Gary Henriot Community Impact Award, which honors individuals whose leadership and service create meaningful, lasting change in the community.

Morse’s recognition reflects more than four decades of commitment to Homestead Resources mission. Because of her commitment, neighborhoods are stronger, and more people in our community can build safe, secure lives at home.

“This community works together. We don’t do this by ourselves by any stretch of the imagination,” said Morse. “I’m so proud to work in this community and have great partners by my side.”

Morse has worked in partnership with United Way of Greater Lafayette and several local agencies over the years, and this year, Homestead Resources was named an official funded partner of the local United Way. Their investment will help expand access to housing education and financial stability resources across Greater Lafayette that Morse has spent a career building. Through United Way’s investment, Homestead Resources will continue to:

  • Provide housing counseling that helps renters and homeowners plan for long-term stability.
  • Deliver financial literacy education that builds credit, confidence, and independence.
  • Develop and operate affordable housing that allows seniors to live safely and independently.

For more than 43 years, Homestead Resources has served the ten-county Greater Lafayette region with a simple promise: Education. Resources. Planning. The organization is committed to helping everyone feel at home.
