LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Homestead Resources is proud to announce the successful completion of its $1.34 million “A Home of Its Own” Capital Fundraising Campaign, marking a transformational milestone in the organization’s more than four-decade commitment to helping individuals and families achieve housing stability and financial well-being.

Launched publicly in June 2025, the campaign reached its goal through the extraordinary generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, and community partners who invested in Homestead Resources’ vision for the future.

As part of the campaign, Homestead Resources has acquired 1800 Union Street in Lafayette as its future corporate headquarters. The new facility will be thoughtfully renovated to better meet the evolving needs of the community. This facility expands the organization’s ability to provide housing counseling, financial education, and other essential services to community members.

The new location will feature a dedicated financial education classroom, providing space for workshops and training sessions focused on budgeting, credit, homeownership, and financial wellness. A new computer lab will offer clients access to technology and personalized assistance as they navigate housing opportunities, complete applications, and connect with critical community resources.

Construction and renovations are expected to begin soon, with the organization planning a community celebration to mark its grand opening in early 2027.

“This campaign represents far more than the purchase of a building—it represents our community’s belief in the mission of Homestead Resources and the families we serve every day,” said Marie Morse, Executive Director of Homestead Resources. “We are especially grateful for the leadership and generosity of North Central Health Services and the Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette, two philanthropic pillars that continue to invest in the stability and the future of our community. Their support, along with the generosity of so many individuals, businesses, and foundations, is bringing our vision to life.”

Morse added, “Having a permanent home of our own allows us to expand financial education opportunities, strengthen our housing services, and create welcoming spaces where families can access the tools and resources they need to build brighter futures. This investment ensures Homestead Resources is well positioned to serve the Greater Lafayette community for generations to come.”

The campaign reflects Homestead Resources’ long-term commitment to addressing housing challenges through education, counseling, and community partnerships. The organization’s new headquarters will provide the capacity needed to meet increasing demand while creating an accessible, welcoming environment for clients throughout the region.

Homestead Resources extends its sincere appreciation to every donor, volunteer, partner, and advocate who helped make the “A Home of Its Own” campaign a success. Their collective investment will leave a lasting impact on thousands of individuals and families for years to come.
