We provided expert-level counseling services through HUD-certified Housing Counselors offering the following:
Budget and Credit Counseling
- For individuals and families who want to develop good financial behaviors, create a savings and spending plan, learn about credit and the effects good and bad credit have on your financial profile, manage debt and set short term and long-term goals.
Rental Counseling
- For participants who want to understanding the rights and responsibilities of being a good rental tenant. Develop a budget, explore housing options and understand long-term affordability and manage housing debt.
Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
- For current homeowners who are behind on their mortgage loan payments and are in danger of foreclosure.
Pre-Purchase Counseling
- For participants who are interested in exploring their potential for homeownership. Take the next step in education and preparation by setting a short term and long-term housing plan. Establish a savings plan, manage your credit score, understand financial options in the marketplace.
Reverse Mortgage Counseling
- For seniors who are a minimum of 62 years of age and interested in increasing their knowledge of a reverse mortgage by evaluating this financing tool to manage their housing stability. We are the only reverse mortgage counseling provider in the state.
